Welcome to the BLISS LIFE

I am so excited to have you here! We have been whipping up delicious and good-for-you food for just over 3 years now (can you believe it, because I can't!). Miss Bliss has evolved from a little cafe in West End Brisbane to now offering a product range, wholesale supply, manufacturing and corporate catering. 

Since opening our flagship store in Brisbane 2015, we've stayed true to our philosophy of providing nutritious AND delicious wholefoods that are unprocessed and refined sugar free. Our products are free from additives, artificial substances and support both local and organic produce.

It has been a BIG journey, lots of hard work and many memories - I can’t thank my staff and our customers enough.

The story behind it all

 Owner and qualified nutritionist behind the bliss, Jacqui Toumbas, began the Miss Bliss journey way back when she decided to ditch the nine-to-five and study her Bachelor of Nutrition at QUT.

As a way for Jacqui to capture and share what she was learning at university she started the Get Fit Chicks blog. At a time when Brisbane was inundated with food fads and quick health solutions the Get Fit Chicks blog stood out from the crowd. Jacqui was able to connect with many through the blog, countless who remain loyal customers at Miss Bliss to this day.

Friends and followers kept requesting that Jacqui stop sharing recipes and actually make her bliss balls that led her to stock the Miss Bliss Balls in cafes across Brisbane.

Following the success of the wholesale demand and her strong brand following, Jacqui set to open the first Miss Bliss Whole Foods Kitchen in West End on July 1st 2015.

Miss Bliss has taken over the old Andy’s Fruit Market space, which is where Jacqui’s grandfather, Andy and their friends have hung out daily for the last 45 years. Understanding the significance of the space to both her family and the community, Jacqui has approached the new fit-out with great respect, transforming it into a fresh open space filled with light and brimming with greenery, but hinting at the building’s history by maintaining its original wooden beams and dotting the cafe with images of its previous life. There is even a space looking over the rear courtyard dedicated to hosting the Greek gents, ensuring they still have a place to gather each day.

In addition to Jacqui’s famed Bliss Balls and raw treats, Miss Bliss Whole Foods Kitchen serves up breakfast, lunch and takeaway delights. Scarlett Nunns heads up the kitchen, working closely with Jacqui to create a menu of nutritious-yet-delicious meals. Dishes are unprocessed and refined-sugar and additive free, and use local and organic produce wherever possible.

Jacqui went from being a one-(wo)man show to being supported by an entire team of young, passionate individuals. #TeamBliss connects with hundreds of people a day encouraging them to live blissful and nourishing lives. As part of living a blissful life, the team strongly believes in giving back. In support of that we donate 20c from every coffee to Paradise4Kids which helps feed, clothe and educate children in third world countries.
