WHAT A WEEK (it isn't even Friday yet)
This week we have once again planned, prepped and panicked (ok maybe I just panicked) to bring you our SPRING 2017.
I am so incredibly proud of my team who have once again not only worked like crazy to bring new, innovating and fun nourishing concepts but they have rolled it all out so smoothly.
Going through the new menu as I lay in bed uploading it to the website it had me thinking - there is only ONE thing on this menu that has been with us since day one - ONLY ONE!
It's our NUT & SEED loaf - now I'm going to be honest, you either LOVE it or HATE it, and since day one we have had so many people who LOVE it that they have asked to buy whole loaves and for the recipe.
Finally I have decided to release the recipe for our first weekly Miss Bliss X Barry Bros. recipe.
FYI - each week we will be releasing a nourishing and delicious recipe in with the help of our friends over at Barry Bros Online (my favourite online grocer!).
Ok enough of the fluffy stuff - you're only here for the recipe.
Gluten Free | Vegan NUT & SEED LOAF
What you need:
- 4 tsp psyllium husks
- 500ml water
- 1 cup almonds
- 1 cup walnuts
- 1 cup sunflower seeds
- 1 cup pepitas
- 1 cup flax seeds
- 1/2 cup white sesame
- 1/2 cup black sesame
- 1 tbsp himalayan salt
What to do:
- Mix the psyllium husks and water in a bowl - set aside & allow to set to a jelly like consistency
- In a seperate bowl measure out all the remainder ingredients
- Pour the psyllium mixinto the dry mix
- Mix well to combine
- Pour into a lined loaf tin
- Bake at 160 degrees for 50 minutes or until dry
- Let cool completley
- Slice & toast to serve
