Ok, so I know this sounds sort of boring - why would I post a recipe of a dressing? what for?
One of the most common questions I got about our winter 2017 menu was - WHAT DO YOU PUT ON YOUR KALE?!! Not even joking.
Firstly, yes we dress our kale with a beautiful, delicious and balanced dressing. Why? Because let's be honest - who likes eating plain kale? or ANY greens to be precise.
If there is anything I have learnt since studying nutrition and having my own foodie/health journey it is to make every meal enjoyable. Gone are the days I would eat steamed broccoli with no flavour and think to myself - just get through this meal, it is good for you - JUST EAT IT!
I want my meals to be good for me and DELICIOUS - hence how Miss Bliss Whole Foods Kitchen started.
So back to the paprika dressing - head chef Scarlett (legend) came up with a pretty amazing dressing to accompany our sauteed kale (and also used on our seasonal salads).
But why do we love using paprika? It packs a PUNCH - and not just literally! The most impressive of them all is the amount of antioxidants found in just one serving. One of the many antioxidants, carotenoids, are a type of pigment which help fight disease in our bodies. They are a fat soluble nutrient which means absorbed best when consumed with good fats (I'm looking at you Cobram Estate EVOO).

Makes a sh*t load - store in fridge and use it on errthing!
What you will need:
- 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 TBSP stone ground mustard
- 1 TBSP lime juice
- 3/4 TSP ground black pepper
- 3/4 TSP salt
- 1 1/4 TSP smoked paprika
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 TBSP chopped onion
- 1/4 TSP oregano
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
What to do:
- Place all ingredients in a blender - blend!
- That is it - now you have the worlds best dressing for any salads, sauteed greens, veggies or anything else!
- Store in fridge.
